Clyde Bragg is a partner and the director of electrical engineering with Dunlap & Partners. His broad based experience includes the design of electrical distribution systems, communications systems, lighting instrumentation and controls, power generation, cogeneration, grounding and protection, short circuit analysis, protective relay coordination, and fire/security systems. He has considerable experience with all phases of electrical design in the institutional environment and he has designed power distribution and lighting systems for a number of computer complexes. Clyde has extensive expertise with the evaluation and design of uninterruptible power supply systems and stand-by generator systems. With more than 40 years of professional experience [20 of which in managerial and leadership roles], he knows what he’s doing.
Clyde received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and his MS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. He is professionally licensed in 20 states and the District of Columbia.
Clyde enjoys the golf course – and sometimes golf. Always ready with his quick wit, ornery smile and a joke of the day, he’s known as the “Jokester”. He’s also the “go to man” for answers on parenting and grand parenting. He and his bride of 45 years, Ruth, live in Richmond and are active participants at swim meets and sporting events all over Richmond cheering on their three daughters and four grand children.
